My Crazy Husband

So Greg went to Nashville last weekend and he decided he was due for an adventure.
Instead of staying at a hotel he thought he would try out a "rent a room" site and see if the lowest priced room was actually that bad.
Well it WAS terrible (18 bucks a night...cheap but cheap for a good reason)  and to top it all off he was sick and having to take naps between meetings and the wedding he was attending.  I told him he better be glad he got that out of his system because there was no way I was going to stay in a basement room of a boarding house that reminded me of the room from Silence of the Lambs!  Come on people you know what I'm talking about right?  If you haven't seen the movie I don't recommend it (it's so messed up) but if you have you totally know what I'm talking about!!!

Greg took a video tour of his room for me to see....I think you all need to see it:)

My husband is a nut.

Working Hard

Abby had a project for music class and it she had to do quite a bit of research about the piano.  She is a very hard worker and I never have to get after her to do her homework which is always a plus:)  I am very proud of her and her desire to learn and be teachable.
I just love this girl.

Finally!

We finally got bar stools for our bar this week!  Yay!  It just hasn't been a priority for us but we decided the additional seating would be a plus in the future!  The kids are loving eating here for dinner:)
I think it completes the room quite nicely!

Daddy Daughter Date

Greg took Abby on the sweetest date on Friday night.  I was at a church event and Reese was at a Birthday party so it was perfect time to give Abby some love:)
Greg wrote up a list of things they had to accomplish for the evening and it was very creative.
He is and always has been a very creative guy..one of the many reasons I love him dearly.

Here's the list:
1. Get your picture in front of an Abby street sign
2. Try a piece of cheese you have never had before (she LOVES cheese and so does Greg:)
3. Design a new outfit (she wants to be a designer when she grows up and Greg loves to encourage her     in that area...he's the best Daddy)
4. Try on a new outfit you would NEVER wear in real life:)
5. Eat a dessert from a food truck (they couldn't get this one done because they were out of cupcakes:(
6. Buy a postcard and mail it to yourself
7. Make a sketch of a piece of public art
8. Eat a meal of things that start with your initials (ex. B=Bologna)
9. Sing a karaoke duet- not in the car

Slushies at Quick Trip;)  Not on the list!  haha!

Outfit she would not wear in real life:)

nice belt Greg;)

oh and the pants....nice:)

A.L.S. and G.W.S. meal:)

And this last picture is a sad one. Boo. While they were at the Food Truck Park the car got towed.  They spent an hour and a half tracking it down:( and $300 later they were back to their list...nice adventure indeed.
It ended up on a happy note though and they had a wonderful time!!!!
Abby is so blessed to have such an incredible Daddy.
Oh and they still have a few things left on the list but they will be finishing it up very soon:)

Abby's Christmas Hip Hop Dance!

Abby performed a Christmas dance in her hip hop class...she's getting better every week!

Christmas 2012

We were able to go to Kansas City for Christmas this year and we had a wonderful, relaxing, fun-filled, too much eating time! :)
Holidays are always wonderful but by the time New Years rolls along I am ready to stop eating!  Sheech! :)
The kids had so much fun playing in the snow in KC and I am glad they got to because we would have felt horrible because it snowed in TEXAS on Christmas Day...wow!  Hated to miss that but we always tend to have a white Christmas in KC so I can't complain!

The kids with their cousin Trevin at the Christmas Eve service

Reese got a Cowboy jersey from Mommy and Daddy...he was excited even though it was "clothes":)

lots of stockings...Santa was busy!

Christmas Eve my sister suggested we do a Ugly Christmas Sweater contest and everyone got into the Sprit....even my Dad:)

Me and my oh-so-fly husband!

Even the kids got into it!  Abby actually won the ugliest sweater award!  Yay Abby!!

Awesome snowman sweater Dad:)

Trying to get a picture of the ladies...Abby won again! Ha!

The guys did way better than we did huh?  Too funny!

Went to eat at Fritz's (burger place) downtown.  The kids always love to go eat there because a train brings you your food!

me and my boy.

I love house this house did their lights!  They win in my book!

Abby and Granny being silly!
Christmas morning!  Abby asked for giant marshmallows on her list...she's so weird!  haha!

Reese also got a Broncos jersey for Christmas from us too...he was pretty excited as you can see!

Good morning Christmas Day!
