When I was a kid my Granny Great (my Great Grandma) every year on December 1st put 25 pieces of candy on the Christmas tree for every grandchild and everyday we picked a piece and got to eat it--what a sweet way to count down the days huh?:) Now this was my FAVORITE thing ever and I remember very vivid memories of being with her in her house and especially during the holiday season. So, naturally I decided to continue on the tradition in my own home:) (it's actually a nice way to use up all the Halloween candy:)
Anyways the kids love this tradition too and are constantly reminding me when I forget about the candy...it's nice to have kids to keep you on your toes huh?:)
