Yesterday we finally had some time to get the house decorated for Christmas! The kids were so ready to get the tree up and they love putting all the ornaments on. I have had to learn to let go of my obsession of placing all the ornaments "just so" because they have so much fun putting them on themselves! I have realized after all is said and done it actually looks just right:) Way to go kids--you do such a great job!
After we got our decorations done we headed over to Maw Maw and Poppa's to help them with their decorations! The kids love helping Maw Maw with all her nativity scenes or as Reese calls them the "Nac"tivity senses---hey, that's actually a step up from last year because he used to call them "Act"ivity Scene--ha!
Well as you can see things are starting to come together but we still have a few things to do (like put the lights on the house--hint, hint Greg;) and the kids need to get their trees decorated in each of their rooms.
I just love how the house looks around Christmas time with all the white lights, stockings hanging on the mantle and the fire in the fireplace--it's so welcoming and warm...I just love it!
~now if we can just get the house clean:) Now that would be a Christmas MIRACLE!
