Family goes to Washington DC!

We just had the best family vacation/Greg business trip to DC!  Greg had to go on business (he still works in DC at townhall.com) but he was sweet enough to let us tag along this time:)
We got back last night and honestly I wanted to go ahead and stay through the weekend!  The kids have not been back since we moved from DC back to Texas in 2007.  We have been wanting to get them back but wanted to wait until they remembered more this time:)  Reese was born in DC and it has a lot of sweet memories and is very sentimental to me and Greg. I was thrilled to get the kids back!
It was SO fun seeing all the apartments we lived in, visiting all our friends and going to all our favorite places!
I loved it and I know the kids had a BLAST!  Greg had to work Friday, Monday and Tuesday but on the weekend we PACKED the day full of friends and sightseeing!  On the weekdays the kids and I were busy spending time with friends and sightseeing! We got some great pictures and I even tried to get some similar poses that I remembered we had taken of the kids way back when they were babies!  So fun!  Enjoy the pictures!
*some of the pics are out of order but I'm too tired to mess with it:/  Roll with it;)
THIS IS THE FIRST POST...so many pictures I need to pace myself!

Saturday we went to the Air and Space Museum at Dulles, VA
It's the best one by far....worth the drive from DC if you can swing it!

he's into making funny faces lately:)

checking out all the planes with Daddy

Abby liked the Museum too!

The family and NASA:)

Greg insisted I be in this one...

We let the kids pick their favorite thing and they got their picture with it....this is Reese's pic next to a missile:)

typical family vacation picture.

My Dad was in Vietnam and was an air traffic controller for this plane, the kids thought this was very cool.  The picture might not say as much but they did:)

M favorite plane.  It can fly over 2,100 miles an hour!!!  wow!

Saturday night we had dinner with our friends Erin and Eric...this is their precious little girl, Emilia.

We went to the Herndon Festival (city they live in in VA)

buy this cup for $12 and get free refills of homemade Root Beer all night....done:)

Greg loves this little girl....alot!:)
We asked to take her and her sister, Anna, home with us...they said no:/ ha!

On our way to DC...kids VERY excited!
Friday we met our friends at the Zoo.  This is my friends Laura's kids...Colin, Ryan and Sabrina.  We always used to go to the DC Zoo with Colin and Ryan and Sabrina is a new addition since we left:)

Abby got this shot...awesome huh?

another Abby shot

Friday night Greg, the kids, and I went to Tyson's Corner (our favorite mall in VA) for some shopping and dinner.  Reese and Abby wanted to see the play area they played in....they were too big to go play!  I can't believe they are TOO big:(

Reese thinks he's so funny...he is:)

Reese and his hat.  He has wanted a hat like this FOREVER and he finally got one!  Greg and I needed to approve and find just the right one--congrats Reese now you are super fly:)

Night walk through DC.  When we lived in DC we always took late night walk with the kids.  We were always looking for things to do to get out of our tiny apartment!

This was Abby's favorite sight in DC.

Well Hello there Abe.
