Abby Stand

Open for business!

How cute are they? So fun!

Her and Poppa work so well together:)

Working hard for the money!

A few months back Abby drew her Poppa a blueprint (of sorts:) for them to build a lemonade stand. She has always wanted her own stand and was so excited when her and Poppa started building it together! They did a great job and it is way bigger than I thought it would be....outstanding! The first day she had it she made $3---not to shabby! Come on by in the spring or fall;) I'm sure we will be in business!

Boxer Boy!

Reese got some new boxers shorts the other day (he has been wearing boxers briefs for the past 3 years:) and he is so proud and excited fo himself. The second we walk into the door he strips down and sits around like a man (his words not mine;) Yes, Greg sits around in his underwear--ha!

~notice the wall tile on the floor in the background. Apparently we have been playing too much indoor baseball.....the tile took one too many hits:) Reese likes to call that wall the Green Monster (like the Red Sox at Finway) every time he hits the wall it's a homerun!!!

We Can't Get Enough!

Reese and his nachos...he saved up and paid for them himself--he was very excited:)

Our seats for the first 6 innings on the homerun porch

The upgrade...not too shabby!

Our Cliff Lee--pitcher extraordinaire!!

Sweet picture! I love that Abby and Reese will have so many memories with their Daddy (and Mommy;) watching Rangers baseball!

Last night Greg, the kids and I went to yet another Rangers game! We were playing the Angels which is our #1 competition right now in our division so it was a BIG game! We won 2-1 and it was exciting to see our boys beat L.A.--yay! When we got there we were on the homerun porch which are great seats but we were so excited when I got a text from a friend who was sitting right behind the Rangers dugout. She asked me if we wanted to take their seats because they had to leave early! Of course we said yes and were very thankful for the upgrade:) Thanks Jessica and Glen!!
I love being down in the middle of the action....so exciting! We are now (as of last night--still watching the game tonight but we are winning so far:) 6 games up and in 1st place in our division which is fantastic....if we keep going at this rate (and we will) we will be in the playoffs! Where are all the Ranger nay sayers now??? huh? huh? Oh yeah I know where they are....they are at the Rangers Ballpark watching the best team in baseball!!!:) ~and probably in better seats than we are too....I'm not bitter or anything;) haha!

Cowboys Stadium

Wired kiddos!

Everyone got along SO well...the kids had a blast together!

Checking out the field.

Cheerleader's locker room

Abby in Romo's jersey

Press room

This is where the Cowboys run out of the tunnel

Kids running out and some random guy:)

Got a good shot of the boys in front of the HUGE jumbotron! It's bigger than I thought!

This weekend Jeff Tarkington, his girlfriend, Jamie and his two kids, Emily and Joshua came into town from Tennessee for a visit. On Saturday they wanted to go take a tour of the Cowboys Stadium and since we hadn't been there before (odd right? Not sure why we have never made it over there for a tour? Maybe too busy with baseball huh? Ha)
It ended up being a successful little outing:) We were all quite impressed with the size of everything....since everything is bigger in Texas right?;) We did the self-guided tour so we didn't get to see everything but what we did see was cool! The kids had a blast running on the football field and putting on Romo's jersey and pads in the locker room. Abby and Emily liked the Cheerleaders locker room and loved seeing all their pictures on the walls.
I am not sure if I would have spend 1 billion dollars on a football stadium but that's just me:)

Cupcake Monsters

Yesterday the kids and I had a baking day at the house. Abby has been dying to make cupcakes since my Mom bought us Martha Stewart's Cupcake book last year. We have made a few already but she has SPECIFICALLY wanted to make these cupcakes for awhile. Anyways we made everything from scratch and the icing we picked was so hard (Swiss Meringue Buttercream--I don't recommend it;) Tasted good but took an HOUR to make...geez!
I have decided that maybe me wanting to start a cupcake store is not the best idea after all (*incert Greg saying I told you so:) It's so messy and so much work...no thanks!
Anyways the kids were so super excited about decorating that they forgot to eat their cupcakes...too funny! Enjoy the pictures...they are so silly!

One of Reese's monsters

One of Abby's monsters (one of MANY:)

My nutty children:)

Monster faces....Reese where are ya???:)

Cousin, Cousin and Papa!

Scary. Poor Papa....these kids are out of control;)

Oh the love! Abby and Trevin

Tobey and Reese--crazy boys!

Tobey and Trevin playing black light golf

Nice pose....the boys still don't like girls that much...as you can tell. They love Abby though, just not this much:)

Shaved Ice....I don't think they needed the sugar.

Something that makes your tongue that blue can't be good for you...right? Sorry Christi!

Yesterday my Dad (aka PaPa) drove down Trevin (my sister's kid) and Tobey (my brother's kid) for a visit to Texas! The kids were so excited! Tobey has never been to Texas and one of the first things he asked me was, "Aunt Becky, why is it so hot down here?" Good question Tobey....I told him the whole equator thing, you know because we are south of KC and all but he didn't seem to like that answer--he told me the sun was hotter here--well, it could be I guess:)
We have done so much since they got here last night and I'm beat (so is my Dad, he didn't get much sleep last night sleeping without a bed...sorry Dad:( ~next house will have a quest room promise:)

Today I took the boys (and Abby:) bowling and they all did really great! Abby won again....she's an animal with a bowling ball! When then had some lunch and headed over the Jerry and Debbie's to swim for a few hours. I had the honor;) of being an alligator for about an hour...geez I am SO glad I had kids young because I don't think I could keep up if not!!

We then took the kids to Incredible Pizza. Do not be deceived the pizza is not incredible, the games are a rip off and every time I go I feel this unsettling feeling that we all might be getting a disease somehow? Weird huh?;) OK I'm kidding...kinda.
The kids always have fun which makes me happy but it doesn't prompt me to want to take them there very often....I keep telling them there is SO much more you can do with $65 dollars...yes, it was that much for all of us to get in....RIP OFF! Anyways I got some great pictures and thought I would share. I will get off my soapbox now;)

Pumpkins!

Pumpkins you say?? Well yes, yesterday we planted some pumpkin seeds that we got from Greg's Aunt hoping they would grow by the fall. Reese wants a "baby" pumpkin and Abby wants a "gigantic" pumpkin. I told them that we would do our best but if nothing grows I would buy them one at the pumpkin patch...that seemed to satisfy them:)
I have never been known for having a green thumb....so we'll see. Come on God help me out here;)

How To Pray For Your Children

I have had a lot of friends lately ask me how I pray for my kids. Over the years it has evolved for sure but last year I was given a list from my BSF group and it is just incredible! I decided I would put it up for all my fellow Moms so we can all be battling together! Satan is out for our kids and I pray that we all would be on our guard and get on our knees!!!
I hope this is useful for you as you go to the Father.

Pray that your child:

1. Know Jesus Christ as Savior early in life (Ps. 63:1; 71:17; 2 Tim. 3:15)

2. Have a hatred for sin and a fearful respect for his own vulnerability to temptation
(Ps. 97:10; Matt. 26:41

3. Be caught and called to account when guilty (Ps. 38:5-6, 17-18; 119:71)

4. Be protected from the evil one in each area of his life: spiritual, emotional and physical (Luke 22:31; John 17:15)

5. Have an attitude of Christian morality and responsibility in all her/his interpersonal relationships (Romans 14:21; 1 Cor. 13:4-5; 1 Tim. 4:12)

6. Respect those in authority over him (Romans 13:1)

7. Desire the right kind of friends, be protected from the wrong associations, and be hedged in by God so that he does not find his way to wrong people or wrong places and that the wrong people do not find their way to him (Ps. 91:9-11; Prov. 1:10-11, 15; Hosea 2:6)

8. Rely on God's direction regarding marriage, being kept from the wrong choice, and being saved for the right marriage partner (Ps. 37:4-5; 2 Cor. 6:14-17)

9. Choose to remain pure until the time of marriage and that the one he is to marry will also remain pure (1 Cor. 6:18-20)

10. Learn to submit totally to God and resist Satan actively in all circumstances (Ps. 119:1; 143:10; James 4:7)

11. Be single-hearted in loving and applying God's Word, using its wisdom rather than the world's standards to make decisions in his life (Ps. 19:7; 84:10; 119:10 Romans 12:1-2)

12. Allow God to mature within him the character of Christ that will be lived out in a lifetime of service and submission to Him (Ps. 90:12, 17; Luke 2:52; Romans 8:29)

*Pick one point a month on which to concentrate. Within a year you will have consistently prayed this entire list. As you can see these are also great to pray for ourselves, our husbands and well, everyone!

Remember Phil. 4:6-7:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

~don't worry about your kids or their futures...pray for them!!! We have NO control over anything that has happened or anything that will happen but what we can do is get on our knees...will you join me?

Welcome Back!

So we got back Friday night from Kansas City and this is what we were greeted with as we drove through Denton, TX. I don't think I have ever seen clouds like these before! The kids and I were amazed and thankfully I was able to take a picture as we drove down the rode with no accident;)
It rained on us for about 5 hours of the 11 hour trip home...oh joy:) Welcome back! ha!

Fun in KC!

This week we are in Kansas City to visit my family and friends. Greg, the kids and I drove up on Friday and Greg got to stay until Monday which was so fun since he normally doesn't get to stay very long when we are up here. I have taken some pictures along the way and think I have captured the last few days pretty well....hopefully I haven't forgotten anything:) Enjoy!

Abby and Granny getting pampered--Abby LOVES to get a pedicure!

Me and my sister getting pedicures! Also we got these great smoothies from this place called Roxberry Juice...have you ever heard of it? Well, if you are a smoothie fan like me you gotta try them out...WOW!!

Hanging out poolside....pretty much if it's not raining this is what we have been doing (it's been raining alot sadly:( Kids are having a blast playing in the pool though, they love the slide and Greg got them snorkels and fins to practice snorkeling for our cruise at the end of the month and surprsingly they are catching on really fast! It's gonna be awesome!

This is Eden, my brother's daughter. She's the best, always smiling and has such a great personality! Abby and Reese keep asking is she can come over again...they just love her! (so do I;)

playing with Eden...it's all about Eden!:)

Greg and the kids getting everything ready to shoot off fireworks! Greg and I were so excited because we both love setting things on fire:) and in KC you can shoot off almost any firework and it's legal---SO FUN! Greg went hog wild and bought out the whole tent so yeah, we had a BLAST!!! ;)

And were off!! I think it took us an hour to light every firework we bought...if not more:)

Me helping Abby learn to love setting things on fire too;) ha!

Party in the driveway! My cousin Chelsea came over for the festivities...good times!

Watch out this is a big one! No I didn't burn off my hand:)

For Father's Day we got my Dad a replica helmet from when he dad played football for the University of Missouri. He loved it....score!:)

Me, Chelsea and my peanut butter...
Greg went shopping and brought this home... Yep, thats right he brought me home peanut butter...my favorite! In KC they sell my PB in a 54oz jar and in Texas they aren't that big so I was thrilled to say the least...the bigger the better right?;) Greg knew it would make me really happy...he was right:)

My Mom has a bowl of hot tamales in the living room and we keep catching Abby with a mouth full....as you can see she was caught this time on camera:)
