Don't Peek!

The last thing we did was have each of the kids feed each other pudding but they had to cover their eyes and try to get it into the other persons mouth...this one was pretty messy...they loved to miss and get it all over themselves! Reese though really was just interested in getting as much of the yummy pudding in his mouth...as you can see he was chasing that spoon!

Red Hot and Blue

We went to go eat at Red Hot and Blue tonight. It's a Bar-b-que restaurant- Memphis style....which is not like Kansas City Bar-b-que....nothing comes close to being as good as KC Masterpeice...oh how I miss that! Anyways we had alot of fun and Reese was really excited about the pitchers they brought our drinks in...he was going to town on Greg's DP.... we also got a free banana pudding....and we loved that....everyone loves free stuff!

Bowl Day at Mainly Music

Today at Mainly Music they passed out bowls for the kids to use as instruments and such....well they love it when they do this because it means they get to beat on it as loud as they want and no one tells them to stop! Here you can see Abby was more interested in wearing it as a hat....she also told me today she wants to be a cowgirl for Halloween.. we'll see if she changes her mind before then though because after nap today she already wanted to be a dinosaur!
Also in the picture Abby and her cousin Charlie are dancing together and they always seem to end off each dance with a good tackle...they love to wrestle.
Reese is also very interested in "messing" with Landry (cousin)...he loves to pick at him...he is very sweet with him but he likes to let him know he is older....because Reese isn't older than anyone else....poor Landry will be picked on forever!

Reese playing School!

Reese came into the room tonight with a backpack on and said he wanted to go to school....he looked so cute I wish we could get a better picture but the second Greg got the camera he went running! Abby loves to play school and practice her letters and numbers and Reese is now her student...he is really pretty good at playing with her and letting her tell him what to do....but sometimes they both want to be teacher and that's when the fun begins:)

Cleaning!

Abby helped me clean the bathroom today and she did a great job. She loves to mop the floor and I thought it was so cute how hard she was working....she said she was sweating after we got done...I guess she would with all the hard labor I subject her too!

Also I wanted to tell you something funny Abby said the other day....whenever I am driving or someone does something well kinda "stupid" I sometimes say, "you're killing me" or "are you kidding me" well not too oringal but to Abby she has never heard those sayings before....well anyways...once after I said you are killing me she turned and said to Greg, "Daddy, you're dying myself!" We laughed so hard because she totally changed the whole thing but made it say the same thing....how weird that she knew what words to put where! I tell you we have a genius on our hands.... but what parents doesn't say that?:)

Ding Dong the Mouse is.....

in the dumpster! Tonight we saw our mouse friend again....he had the nerve to run across the dining room floor but what he didn't know was that we were ready for him! Greg and I jumped into action...I got the broom and he barricaded the kitchen and living room. Well you can image what happened next....Greg took a swing and....the mouse ran under one of the kids toys....so we went to plan B....trapping him in a bowl! No fancy traps for us! In the picture under the bowl is our "pet" mouse we got him!!! Now the next part was tricky...Greg figured out how to get the bowl out of the house and he brought the bowl and all and chucked it in the dumpster....we are hoping he will not find his way home and that he will be too happy eating all the trash in the dumpster! I am soo happy that we are pet-free!

Good Looking!

Here are the pumpkins we did....they finally dried! Abby's is on the right, Reese middle and mine is one the left. Abby says that the pumpkin is her and has brown hair like her....I think it does resemble her a bit don't you think:)

Fire Awareness Month

Did you know it was fire awareness month? Well we did and we went to the local fire station in Arlington and got to climb in the fire trucks and get cookies! The kids had alot of fun they sat and drove the truck and we even got to see them answer a call....they all of a sudden ran off got their gear on and jumped in the trucks...(lights flashing which the kids loved) Greg took some of the pictures and I love the one with the kids faces reflecting in the hubcap...how creative...I told him he needs to come and follow me and the kids and be our personal camera man! Now that would be nice!

Pumpkin Painting

Well last year we carved our pumpkins and it didn't go over to well with a one and three year old....so this year I got stickers and paints and thought they would like that more! Well they did and the pumpkins look great! They are still drying from this morning because there is alot of paint on them...Abby went a little crazy! Reese was interested for about 3 mintues and I ended up finishing up his but he was ok with that! I just love this picture of me and Reese he is such a doll! And we still aren't sure what face Abby is making here but it's pretty funny! She's a character for sure!

Burke Nursery

Today we went to a Pumpkin Patch and it had a ton of slides and rides for the kids! I couldn't believe how much stuff there was to do....we were there 3 hours and just made it through the whole thing once! Abby and Reese were crazy running all over not knowing what to do next...it cracks me up how Reese just does everything Abby does even if he is not big enough. He followed Abby up this big slide in the picture and had no fear at all he just went right down after her....and Abby well she acts like she is 12 or something all independent and all! I was so glad to get the kids to this pumpkin patch because I love the Fall season and wait all year for the Fall Festivals!! I have so many pictures from today so I will have to do a couple posts to share the whole experience with you! Enjoy!

Good Pictures

I took a ton of pictures but thought these two were pretty good. Reese is a tough one to get a picture of he is too fast and Abby she's great with the poses as you can see! And big foot fits our two kids well since they took after their daddy with size 13 shoes!...I really hope Abby doesn't have that big of feet when she gets older!:)

"Hay" Ride

well as you can see there is no hay but the kids (we went with our friends from church) didn't even notice...the ride took us through this forest that had lots of "scary" displays set-up...Abby just laughed the whole time I don't think she knew she should be scared! I figure that's a good thing!

Sand Mountain

They had this huge sand mountain with little treasures buried in it and of course they wanted to climb this the whole time....you think one day they will be nice to mommy and stay away from sand?...since I can't stand sand:) well probably wishful thinking huh? Anyways here you can see them climbing up and then the next picture Reese is at the top...yes he made it the whole way no falling and I didn't see one other kid make it up there the whole time without falling!

Sales! Sales! I Love Sales!

ok I must share our shopping trip tonight! I went into Old Navy to check the clearance for the kids and they had a fall sale going on and had a ton of summer clothes for .97, $1.97 and $2.97. I ended up getting Abby basically all her clothes for next summer...and do you want to know what I spent??? $41.oo I totalled all the receipts when I got home and they would have been $250 we saved $209...can you believe that! Awesome!

Doctor Visit

Abby and Reese tonight wanted to play doctor so we all took turns getting shots and listening to each others hearts...now Reese got pretty into this and ran all around checking to see if everyone was alive....He was very happy to know that we all were well! Abby said she needed the doctor (me) to fix her legs because they were broken so we fixed it right up with some bandaids...if only it were that easy huh?

Look at this One!!

How cute is this?...poor Reeser is sick this week with an ear infection and he has been a bit out of character from his crazy silly self....and so today I walk into the room and Reese is laying on Abby's lap and she is scratching his back...how sweet are they? I am a sucker for the
" lovey-dovey" stuff so I went running for the camera...I was able to get the picture and I am so happy about that!

*Also I thought I might comment on what Reese is wearing around his neck he has wanted to wear all the lay's (not sure how to spell it:) we have around the house and he has been wearing them everywhere we go...so I guess he is just wanting to be ready for a Hawaiian party just in case someone has one sometime! He is always the one ready for a good party! (that's my boy)

Waiting for Daddy!

This is so cute! Reese and Abby for the past few days have been waiting at the window for Daddy to get home from work. They sit there and wait for him to drive up then they run to the door to let him in. They just can't wait for him to come home it's the best part of their day!

"I Love Smoothies"

Yesturday we went to the park to play and Grandma bought us some smoothies and as you can see Reese really loves them! He was working on that thing for about 15 minutes then he was asking everyone if they were done with theirs....in the picture here he is very puzzled where all his smoothie went...I told him that he drank it all but he kept looking in the cup for it....what a nut!

Where is Tom when you need him?

We still have a mouse....Greg got a "trap" but evidently mice have "rights" too because they have no traps just pebbles...what are pebbles gonna do?...well appartently nothing! Abby and Reese think it is cool to have a new pet though too bad it's not one they can play with....ever!! ..... Abby though is pushing for a cat named Tom but I keep telling her I am allergic to them but she says I can take claritin..isn't that so nice of her:)

I Scream for Ice Cream...

Literally...they were very excited to go get ice cream tonight they were screaming "ice cream" the whole way there! Grandma treated us all to Maggie Moo's...and it was good! This picture was pretty hard to get so enjoy it...the kids couldn't stand still after all that sugar! ...notice Abby has ice cream all over her shirt...she really liked it huh?

WE NEED A CAT!

Greg and I are just hanging out watching a show and then out of the corner of our eye we see a black something run across the floor! We both looked at each other and wondered if the other saw the same thing....I was hoping he didn't but sadly he did! So Greg got a broom and climbed on the counter and started to look for a mouse. Well we found one behind the refrigerator....Greg moved it out and the mouse came running out then went under the stove....so here I am standing guard while Greg runs to get a trap...alot of traps....I am so grossed out by mice....I will not sleep till we know he is dead and it's already midnight! ...As you can see I am ready to beat it to death though!!! I am so shocked that our new apartment has mice that's so terrible...I don't think I will ever walk on the floor again...or let the kids off their beds!!....just kidding!

Goofy Abby!

I finally got Abby on video singing...and of course she sang some made-up song and I have no idea what she is saying but at least I got it! Enjoy the entertainment!

Strike a Pose!

Abby is all about posing for the camera these days....I guess she has gotten used to me taking pictures everyday for you guys! We were at the mall yesturday and she and her friend Layne were running all over the play area striking a pose....I thought this one was adorable!

Balancing Act!

Reese is such a clown! When he is riding in the stroller he takes his shoe off and he puts it on his head...seems logical huh?:) He is pretty good too....he can keep it up there for about 30 seconds!

Cookie Monsters!

Tonight Grandma Reese, Aunt Annie, Charlie and Landry came over to make cookies....ok now I must admit I am used to cooking with Abby....she's well more into it than the boys but I thought I would try to include everyone....so I got all the stuff ready and got the kids helping...well the boys lasted about 5 minutes tops and then they were off to play basketball or something....so that left Abby and I to finish the job! I bet though you can guess who was first in line to get the finished product???....yes oh yes it was the boys....but Abby and I knew we got the best part....we got to eat the cookie dough:) (in our house if you help you get to eat the best part:)

Good Times!

Today we all went to Mainly Music and the kids were so excited Grandma Reese was there....they didn't do much singing and dancing because they just wanted to go see Grandma...she was sitting in the back watching and they were all back there most of the time! They did parachutes today and Reese and Charlie (cousin) were very into it...they are crazy together..it's great! Everyone commented all morning on how great it was that our Great Grandmother came all the way from Texas to visit...we are so thankful she is able to come and be so active the kids...not many "greats" get that opprotunity huh?

Goldfish spill!

Reese got into some trouble the other night when we found him jumping up and down on all the goldfish he spilled! I think he was really just trying to get a few to eat because he was quickly trying to get them to the table after he realized they were all over the floor....Abby came running into me telling me goldfish were everywhere and as Greg and I turned the corner is was a sight! Reese had the guilty but happy face on and he was very unsure of what to do next...so he sat down on and started eating...(while Greg and I tried to keep in the laughter)....Reese is such a nut...but I know he has learned it is a whole lot better to eat the goldfish than pick them up off the floor one by one!....(which took forever by the way! )

Sports Class

I wish you guys could see Abby in her class...she is so good at all the sports she has done so far....and really no joking she is way better than all those little boys...here in the picture I tried to capture her "obeying" her teacher while she waits for the others to get it together:) that's what she does most of the class she stands by her cone waiting for the boys...I am so proud of her! Her favorite this week was running and basketball which she is a "baller" for sure....I think she will be more into sprots than dance which is ok with Greg and I! But Greg will have to watch girl sports which he is not a fan of but he said Abby is a totally different story he will watch her with joy...just not any other girl sport!

Grandma Fun!

Tonight Grandma Reese came over for a picnic and playing in the park! The kids kept her on her toes for about 2 hours:) and they ran off a ton of energy! I think Grandma was surprised how crazy Reese is...he is a huge daredevil! In the picture below he is jumping off the playset to Daddy and he did this about 10 times! Also in one of the pictures you can see the kids were pushing Grandma and Greg on the merry-go-round...they thought this was really funny until Grandma got sick....no just kidding she is fine:) I am pretty funny huh?

Thomas the Train!

Last night we found the greatest toy store...it has a full blown Thomas the Train table with a ton of trains way more than Barnes and Noble:) anyways we are very excited about how much the kids love the train table because we are giving Reese the train table for his birthday and he is getting a lot of train stuff and tracks from the grandparents....I really think we nailed it this year...he talks about trains most of the time and wants to go to Barnes and Noble everyday to play with the trains there:)
Don't the kids look big in these pictures....so cute!

Cheesecake Factory

Grandma Reese got in town today and we all met at The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate! She is staying with Doug (Greg's brother) , Anglea, Charlie and Landry first so we thought it would be great to see her for a bit....we had alot of fun and alot of sugar was consumed...especially by the kids! The kids were so excited to see her...Reese kept saying, "Hi Grandma!" all night and wanted to give her hugs over and over! It's so great she is able to come and see her great-grandkids and she'll be here for 11 days! So we will have many fun pictures to come!

Build A Bear!

Today Abby and I went to her friend Karlee's birthday party...it was at Build A Bear where you pick out a bear get it stuffed and dress it up in some cute clothes. Abby was one of the youngest kids there but she fit right in! Karlee is 7 and Abby and her are really good friends...it is fun to see her play with older kids she acts so differently around her! I think she had alot of fun and she dressed her bear in a cheerleading outfit...it's pretty cute!
I told Abby though she couldn't have her birthday there because it was super expensive...$20 a kid...wow that's alot of money for a party...she was very thankful though (I hope:)
