We all met Maw Maw and Poppa at a nearby prayer garden to hear the story of Easter. They loved Maw Maw's story (even though it was stinking cold:) and they learned all about sin and what Jesus did for them. Our nephew Charlie was hilarious he kept asking everyone what their sins were...it was so sweet and innocent. Abby had a confession time:) she told everyone she lied about pushing her brother....then she looked at me with a sheepish grin! Oh the things we learn during public confession times!
After the story the kids got to go and find the empty tomb in the garden which they really loved! The kids kept saying, "I could move that rock!" or "Where did he go?" I love watching them learn this resurrection story, a story I have heard all my life but for some reason watching your kids learn brings a whole new depth!

Becky,
My favorite things about this were things we adults didn't coordinate, but what the kids did! First, while they were standing there in the tomb, I loved it when Charlie started "Jesus Loves Me" & they all just stood there & sang it together! Just what we'd pray would be their understanding of Jesus' death & resurrection! Then when Reese went back in after they'd all come out, stood there with his arms spread & a big smile & proclaimed, "He's Gone!" Surely the original angels couldn't have done it better!
