Family Vacation to Granbury, TX
The whole family at Granbury Live
Reese got this drum stick from the drummer
He was so excited because he wants to be a drummer one day--shhhh...but we got him a drum set for Christmas--he's gonna freak out:)
Drive-in movie
Reese and Landry--they always take such good pictures together!
Charlie and Abby dancing---they are two peas in a pod--best buddies!
Kids enjoying the music--they were shaking the seats--too funny!
Lighting the candles--scary!
Waiting for the parade and trying to keep warm
Debbie and I thought these glasses were perfect for us---what do you think?:)
Friday morning we went for the weekend to Granbury with Greg's parents and his brother's family. We had a lot planned and the kids were ecstatic about spending the weekend together with their cousins and Grandparents! We had a wonderful time and kept busy with the holiday festivities in town. Friday night there was a light parade through downtown and the kids got to hold candles (now we're big time:) They thought that was great and no one caught on fire--that's a plus! After the parade we had tickets to Granbury Live and it was so great---the kids LOVED it and sat/danced through the whole thing! Reese is always funny when it comes to music he can't keep still (which I love about him:)
Let me explain it this way--if I were deaf all I would have to do is watch Reese and I would immediately know when the music began! He starts out bopping then slapping his knees then sometimes he can't contain himself and he jumps up and goes crazy:)
Abby also loves these kind of shows but she more takes it in and enjoys every detail--she's our more intuitive one...but she also has the music in her--how could she not being related to Greg and I?
Anyways the show went late and we got back to the hotel and crashed but we got to sleep in (thanks for that Jerry--that was wonderful for me specifically:)
We then spent the day around town playing at parks, swimming in the pool, and shopping in town. Late Saturday night we took the kids to the drive-in movie to see Bolt--very cute movie!
We planned on it being cold so we came prepared with winter clothes, blankets, pillows, HOT chocolate and candy (of course) and the night was a hit! The kids didn't seem cold at all and were glued to the screen and we adults--well we made good use of the blankets:)
We headed home Sunday but thought it was only right to end the weekend with a bang so we stopped and ate at Joe T. Garcia's---only the best Mexican food EVER! (sorry Dad I'll take you when you come to town again:)
Thanks Debbie and Jerry for all the planning that went in to this trip--we really appreciate all you do for us and are very grateful you both put thought into making memories and developing deeper relationships with our kids (and us:)--we love you!
